With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society. We are now looking for two administrators for the department's secretariat.

The Security Department has national and operational responsibility for security work within the Swedish Police Authority. The department serves as a contact point with the Security Police, the Armed Forces, and the Defence Radio Establishment regarding security protection and operational protection issues. The main areas of responsibility for the Security Department are personnel security, information security, physical security, security-protected procurement, signal protection, and employee protection.

The Security Department is one of the authority's national departments and is organized into an operational part with eight areas of responsibility, a supportive part with two areas of responsibility, and a departmental secretariat. The departmental secretariat is led by the head of the secretariat and serves as the entry point to the Security Department. Here, employees with various competencies work with the main task of supporting and assisting the department's head and the department's organizational units.

Job Description

The work involves, among other things:

  • Handling incoming referrals, distributions, consultations, and other usual administrative legal tasks
  • Coordinating and preparing decisions regarding actions due to internal and external audits from, for example, Internal Audit, supervision at RPCK, the National Audit Office, etc.
  • Providing support and strategic advice to the department head and the head of the secretariat as well as the management team
  • Preparing materials for the Police Authority's national strategic management group and the administrative managers' forum
  • Supporting the department in legal matters related to security protection legislation
  • If necessary, supporting the responsible colleague and managing department-wide administration, including mail handling, record-keeping, archiving, and the department's common functional mailbox

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Many years of recent work experience in handling administrative matters that the Police Authority considers relevant for the position
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

The position requires Swedish citizenship.

It is an advantage if you also have recent:

  • Current knowledge and experience of the laws and regulations governed by security legislation and the protection law
  • Experience working in the area of security protection
  • Experience handling referrals, distributions, consultations, and other usual administrative legal tasks
  • Experience supporting and advising on legal matters
  • Experience in qualified administration within an authority that the employer considers relevant for the position

Personal Qualities:

To succeed in the role, you need to work independently and result-oriented, with a focus on the operation. You have the ability to prioritize and structure your work. The tasks can change quickly, so you need to be flexible and able to adapt to new tasks. You should have good communication skills and good collaboration abilities. You enjoy collaborating at different organizational levels.
